Due to not fixing time, people always think about how many periods are in hockey. Well, hockey is a fast action team sport. In which two teams play against each other. By default, hockey has three periods of 20 minutes each. It is different from many other games, where the game is divided into two and quarter parts. Plus, hockey has a 15 to 18 minutes gap between each period which is called transmission period.
