Right Cardio Time?

Hello, I have been going to the gym for 10 days, 3-4 times a week, taking a break for 1 or 2 days. My teacher in the hall told me to do cardio for at least 20 minutes after the first 15-20 minutes to warm up and after the weight training (legs, abdomen, back, shoulders, chest, arms, in short, all muscle groups). During the first cardio I do with the elliptical bike, I get half tired, but after the weight training, I don't want to do cardio on the elliptical bike for at least 20 minutes, because I get tired. And according to what I've read, post-workout cardio provides fat burning. When should cardio be done? Before or after the workout? Or is it both at the beginning and at the end, as I did? I will be glad if you help me..thanks..
